Privacy

Meniskos does not collect, transmit, or share any information about you.
This is not a policy of restraint. The app contains no networking code of any kind — no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, no third- party SDKs, and no accounts. There is no server for your data to go to.
What stays on your device
Meniskos saves a small number of its own settings in the app's private storage. They never leave your phone, and they are deleted when you delete the app:

Permissions the app may ask for
Notifications. Only if you arm the alarm. Meniskos schedules a local notification on your device so the alarm can sound when the app is not open. These are local notifications — nothing is sent through Apple's push servers or through us, and no notification content leaves your phone. You can decline, and the rest of the app works normally.
Motion. The caseback shows a winding rotor that responds to how you tilt the phone. Meniskos reads the motion sensors to animate it. Motion data is used only to draw that animation, is never recorded, and is never transmitted.
What Meniskos never does
No location. No contacts. No photos. No camera. No microphone. No health data. No tracking of any kind, across this app or any other. Nothing is sold or shared, because nothing is gathered.
Purchases
Meniskos is sold through the App Store. Apple handles the transaction and any information connected to it; Protego Media Group LLC never sees your payment details. Apple's own privacy policy governs that part.
Children
Meniskos is suitable for all ages and collects nothing from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new effective date. Since the app collects nothing, any change would most likely be to clarify wording rather than to broaden what is gathered.

By downloading or using Meniskos ("the app"), you agree to these terms.
Licence
You are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not redistribute, resell, decompile, or reverse- engineer the app, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
Not affiliated with any watch manufacturer
The watch faces in Meniskos are original works, drawn from scratch. They are inspired by classic categories and conventions of twentieth-century watch design — dive bezels, tachymetre scales, flip cases, calculator keypads — in the way that any homage is.
Meniskos and Protego Media Group LLC are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to any watch manufacturer or brand. No manufacturer's name, model name, logo, or trademark is used in the app, and nothing in it should be taken to suggest that any watch company produced, approved, or had any involvement with it. Any resemblance to a particular timepiece is a matter of shared design vocabulary, not of origin.
Timekeeping and the alarm — please read
The app displays the time supplied by your device's own clock. It does not independently verify that time and cannot be more accurate than the device it runs on.
Do not rely on Meniskos for anything that matters. The alarm, the stopwatch, and the displayed time may fail or be delayed for reasons entirely outside the app's control, including the device being powered off, out of battery, in a focus mode, having notifications disabled, or the operating system choosing to defer a notification. Do not use this app as your only means of waking up, of catching a flight, of timing anything consequential, or of any activity where an inaccurate or missed time could cause harm, loss, or injury. It is a watch to look at and enjoy, not an instrument to depend on.
The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Protego Media Group LLC does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or future operating system version.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Protego Media Group LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, time, opportunity, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app.
Purchases and refunds
Meniskos is sold through the App Store. All purchases, refunds, and billing are handled by Apple under its own terms. Protego Media Group LLC cannot issue refunds directly; refund requests go to Apple.
Changes
These terms may be updated. Continued use of the app after a revised version is posted constitutes acceptance of it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
